HIGH SCHOOL EVALUATION

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation refers to a particular process of evaluation which is school based and aims at all round development of the student.

Karnataka State Secondary Education Board has introduced the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) pattern from the academic year 2014-15 for Grade 10 for the first time.

The term ‘continuous’ refers to continuity and regularity of assessment during the whole session. The frequency of class tests, unit tests and terminal tests can make the evaluation regular. In the same way, ‘comprehensive’ refers to the areas of assessment which includes both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of pupils growth helping the all-round development of the child.

In order to inculcate qualities like discipline, alertness, appreciation, etc; this scheme gives importance not only to scholastic(academic) but also to co-scholastic activities like Physical Education, Art Education, SUPW, Computer and Ethical values.
