As I write this, the twin responsibilities of being an Educator first and lead Administrator next, guide and guard my words.
My journey as an Educator was initially inspired by my teachers at home, my parents, Mr. K.V.Ashwath Narayan and Mrs. Lalitha Ashwath Narayan. They were both my ideals & my mentors. My interest in continuing to work in the field was almost entirely fueled by my first and later almost countless interactions with my students. My efforts would have no purpose and my vocation no significance without all of them. Any leader is and can only count themselves of being of any consequence by the support of all the individuals over the years who have contributed to and dedicated their time and effort in the nurturing of a collective desire to serve young minds and their understanding of the world. My gratitude to all my colleagues who have been my comfort zone, support group and most of all ,my friends.
To all the parents who have entrusted their precious children to our care , my deepest appreciation and continued gratitude. Finally to Sudarshan , the brother, whom I lost but never met, your name is what gives me and the Institution I serve, both its identity and aspiration.
You remind us that children matter always!
There are three important guidelines, I hold dear and I wish to share them with you here.
- There is no Good way to do a Bad thing.
- For you to be Good no one else needs to be Bad
- Repeating something often enough, irrespective of its validity, does not make it true.
The only way to learn is to be receptive, be capable of adapting , be non-judgemental and most of all to be kind.
Knowing that one may have erred but acknowledging the error and course correcting may be the only way forward.
My Best wishes to all of you !
